>>1So I've came across this site through some FB group (hi bryan)
I'm seeing a lot of potential but obviously traffic is slow at the moment. There are some things I've recognized that might improve traffic. But it could be a great place outside other sites, with more dedicated users with a lot more basic knowledge on most subjects. reading a thread with half of them normie tier questions about fengs is getting boring.
I'd suggest the following:
>drop the flag designation on most boards, except /x/ perhapsRight now there's mostly US folks posting, so that makes the international users stand out like a sore thumb. Since an imageboard is meant to be anonymous for the most part, this hampers that stance. Outside of /x/ there is no reason for this info.
I'd regard /x/ as a board for questions more directly related to the geographical location of the poster, and advice in general to keep the board language in english. Now people could get the impression to post in /x/ in general if they're not from the US.
>General Commercial equipment boardSo Motorola + Hytera and others in one place. I get the 'why' for the feng board, based on the RDA1846 all-in-one chip, but Hytera is certainly an equal to MotoTRBO in terms of quality and capabilities. It might be an idea to separate these boards again at a later date due to traffic, but that would be a first world problem. /ccp/ for baofengs and other chinese radios, including chinese DMR stuff, and the other for commercial gear i.e. Motorola conventional/MotoTRBO/Hytera/EFJ etc. Perhaps /$/ as a board name?
